Enjoying & Using Your Pottery

Your pottery is both functional and decorative. It may be used in the oven and microwave and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Proper care will ensure long life and much enjoyment. Do not subject pottery to sudden changes in temperature or uneven heat. If you have stored left-overs, for example, in the refrigerator, don't put that cold dish into the oven or microwave without first letting it come to room temperature.....better yet, re-heat the left-overs in a different dish if you are in a rush.

When using the microwave or oven, be sure the pot or mug is at least half full of moist food or liquid to allow for even heating.

Plates and platters can crack in the oven or microwave with prolonged baking. Gentle oven heating is usually fine. A full plate of food should work fine in the microwave.

Never heat pots over a stove burner or a candle warmer. They are oven-proof but not flame proof.

When baking, place pottery and food into a cold oven so things can warm up together. When you remove pottery from the oven, don't set it on a cold or wet surface. All glazes are lead-free and non-toxic.

And remember.....everything from The Craftseller is made in the USA! Enjoy!
